Robert Silman is the founder of KPI and Extraordinary Books. KPI was created to fund independent publishing and provide an alternative to the big 5 publishing houses. It funds PbR, a novel way of identifying and publishing talent that lets the public determine what manuscripts are advanced. With over 24 years in the arts, Robert is also CEO of Tambar Arts. An experienced theatre producer, his work has been staged on and off the West End, including at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre, and New York's Beckett Theatre. A qualified medical doctor, Robert is using his unique perspective to further independent publishing.

Mitchell Albert is a London-based publisher who has worked with independent publishing houses and literature organisations for over two decades. He has held senior roles at Saqi, Periscope, Paper + Ink and Flipped Eye Publishing, as well as at PEN International and the now-National Centre for Writing. He has helped shape numerous distinctive works of fiction and non-fiction as well as several imprints, supporting authors from a wide range of backgrounds in bringing ambitious, genre-defying stories to readers worldwide.
Mitchell Albert is a London-based publisher who has worked with independent publishing houses and literature organisations for over two decades. Mish is a creative producer with twenty years’ experience developing campaigns for national charities like Cancer Research UK and the RSPCA, and disruptive tech giants such as Amazon and Google. Her commercial work has picked up several accolades including a New York Film & Television Award. She’s thrilled to now be focusing her skills on her first love: literature. She has a Creative Writing MA from City University, and has had short stories long listed and short listed for prizes. Mish believes that books change lives and minds, and that readers are the beating heart of the publishing industry.
